Things to know before your visit...

Below you will find information to help you prepare your visit and to familiarise yourself with certain rules with which we will ask you to comply.
We remain at your disposal should you have any queries or require further information.

Access for people with disabilities

Wheelchair users OR people with disabilities:
The visit to the gardens takes place on paths and lawns. Although there is virtually no gradient, some paths are crossed by the roots of ancient trees, which may require you to manoeuvre a wheelchair.
We recommend that you are accompanied by a carer during your visit.
We also suggest that you contact us to check that the ground is not soggy following rainy spells before your visit.
A toilet adapted for people with reduced mobility is available in the Gardens.

Pets

Pets, even small ones, are not allowed  in the Gardens.
The ONLY exception concerns assistance or guide dogs , whose ID must be presented at reception.
Les Jardins de l'Ange is a private estate where some of our own animals roam freely.
We thank you for your understanding.

Pushchairs

Visits to the gardens are mainly on level ground with no steps. Please note, however, that some of the gardens are marked by flagstones, which may make it slightly more difficult to manoeuvre a pushchair.

Baby changing table

A baby changing table is available in the lavatories in the Old Stables (please refer to the map).

Beware the strong wind gusts

As a safety precaution, the GARDENS are CLOSED if the wind gusts > 70km/h .
If in doubt, and as weather forecasts can be uncertain, we advise you to consult our website.

Severe bad weather

In the event of severe weather (heavy showers, thunderstorms, hail), the Gardens may be temporarily closed.
If in doubt, please consult our website.

Visits in wet weather

The Gardens can be visited even when it's raining - they take on diffrent hews or even brighter colours.
If you are caught unprepared, we can lend you an umbrella at Reception.

Wear appropriate shoes

The visit takes place on dirt or gravel paths and lawns.
We recommend that you wear suitable, comfortable footwear.

Want to have a picnic?

You can have a picnic in the Gardens - a picnic area, the ‘Medieval Table’, is provided for this purpose.
However it is forbidden to have your picnic elsewhere in the Gardens.

Please take care when walking near large trees.

To ensure the safety of the decorations and objects on display, large backpacks must be left in a locker at Reception.
